Alfred University Volleyball

Mike Honeycutt joined the Saxon volleyball coaching staff for the start of the 2017 season as the Assistant Coach, stepped in as the Interim Head Coach before the start of the 2022 season and was named the Head Coach at the conclusion of the same season. During the 2023 season, Honeycutt and the Saxons defeated #4 Nazareth, #1 St. John Fisher University and #3 Keuka College all on the road in the postseason as part of the program's first ever Empire 8 Championship. Alfred University became the first program in conference history to win as a #5 seed and marked the first upset win in the finals since the 2018 season. Honeycutt was most recently a volleyball coach in Newport News, VA where he coached for Tabb High School from July 2014 until November 2016. His team won the 2015 conference championships and back-to-back championships in 2016, finishing third in the state of Virginia. He was voted Conference Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2016 and earned Region Coach of the Year in 2017. Prior to Tabb High School, Honeycutt coached boys and girls volleyball at various high schools and clubs from 2007-2013. He played club volleyball at Texas A&M University and Washington State University, helping teams achieve notable finishes at NIRSA National Championships.

Allison Hogue joined the Alfred University Athletic Communications staff as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in December of 2024. From the Boston, MA area, Hogue has been working as a Game Day Contractor since August 2024. Prior to that, she was at Division I University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where she served as the primary contact for women's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's water polo, women's cross country and women's track & field programs, supervising interns and producing social media content. Before Pacific, Hogue was the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant for Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, earning her Master of Arts in Sports Communication & Media in 2023, where she served as primary contact for ten sports including coverage of women's basketball and women's lacrosse teams in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. She also worked as Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations at Coker University in Hartsville, SC, Communications & Marketing Intern for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, Sports Communications Summer intern at the University of Florida, and Athletics Communications Intern at Liberty University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2019. Hogue gained NCAA tournament experience in 2022 working Game Operations for Men's Golf and Men's Lacrosse Championships and served as Social Media Liaison for the Women's Basketball Bridgeport Regional. Letti Hibbard joined the Alfred University sports medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2021. Hibbard, a native of Bedford, NH, arrives at Alfred University after earning her master's degree in athletic training from Merrimack College. There, she worked with the Merrimack football program during the 2020-21 season, focusing on rehabilitation, treatment, and COVID-19 management. Hibbard also worked at Rivier University (all sports), Saint Anselm College (men's lacrosse), and The Derryfield School (all sports), all in New Hampshire. Hibbard also spent the time as the assistant track and field coach at Bedford High School, her alma mater. Hibbard earned a bachelor's degree in human biology from SUNY Albany in May of 2019.
