Head Coach
Dominique Hudson '25/'22 begins her second season as the Head Cross Country Coach in 2025. Hudson serves as the department's Senior Woman Administrator and Head Cross Country Coach. As part of her duties, Hudson assists in internal operations for the department, which includes compliance/eligibility, academic support, budgets, transportation, event management, and leadership of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Hudson took over the Cross Country program in the fall of 2024 after serving as a graduate assistant coach for basketball and cross country. The former Alverno standout was a four-sport athlete during her three seasons participating in basketball, cross country, golf, and softball. She also serves Alverno College as an executive assistant in the Dean of Students' office. In her first season at the helm of the cross country program, Hudson led the Inferno to an 11th-place finish at the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Championships.

Assistant Coach
Tylar Kohnke was hired in January 2026 to lead the Inferno Track & Field program, with expected competition in the 2026-27 academic year. He will also assist with coaching the cross country team. Kohnke comes to Alverno after most recently serving as the Assistant Track & Field Throws Coach at Ripon College, a role he served in from September 2023 through the previous academic year. There, he was tasked with coaching all five throwing events of the Ripon Track & Field team. In his time there, his athletes achieved 12 top ten performances in school history, two Midwest Conference individual championships, and one school record. He was also in charge of the strength & conditioning regimen for his throwers, while also serving in a variety of administrative tasks. Before coaching at Ripon, Kohnke coached at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. From September 2021 until August 2023, he was an assistant coach, specifically with the throwers, working with three All-Americans and 14 All-Conference athletes. Kohnke was a graduate assistant coach from August 2019 through May 2021 at Waldorf University, working with the throwers for the Warriors track & field team. He coached three All-Conference athletes and helped his athletes break six school records. Kohnke earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness in August 2019 from UW-Stevens Point, graduating Cum Laude.
