Cayleb Paulino

Biography

Paulino is in his fifth year as head coach of Ashland University women's soccer. In 2024, the Eagles finished 17-2-2 overall and 12-0-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, winning both the regular-season and tournament titles and hosting a second-round NCAA Division II postseason game. He led AU women's soccer to one of the best seasons in program history in 2023, finishing 19-1-4 overall and 11-0-3 in the Great Midwest, with the Eagles ranked as the top team in D-II for six weeks and winning two D-II postseason games at home. He was named 2023 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Women's Coach of the Year and led the 2023 United Soccer Coaches D-II Midwest Region Staff of the Year. In his first season in 2021, Paulino guided the team to a 15-2-3 record and Great Midwest titles in both the regular season and tournament, along with a home NCAA Division II postseason game. Before joining Ashland, he was an assistant women's soccer coach at Ohio Northern since December 2018, helping the Polar Bears to Ohio Athletic Conference titles in 2019 and 2020, and was named to the Great Lakes Regional Staff of the Year in 2019. Prior to that, Paulino was an assistant men's soccer coach at Ohio Northern from 2015-18 and an assistant for both soccer programs at Defiance from 2012-14. He is a 2011 graduate from Wilmington College and earned his master's from Defiance in 2013.
