Tucker Bitting, an accomplished club coach and former volunteer assistant at the University of Notre Dame, enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Ball State women's volleyball program in 2024. In his first two seasons, Bitting has helped guide the Cardinals to a 41-24 overall record, including a 28-8 mark in Mid-American Conference play. His work on staff helped Ball State claim a share of the 2022 Mid-American Conference regular season title and earn an at-large berth into the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship. In addition, the Cardinals earned a bid into the 2023 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) where it advanced to the second round. “I’m so excited to have Tucker on staff,” Phillips said. “He brings a high volleyball IQ, passion for the game, and a competitive mindset that will continue to push our program forward. He understands the value of teaching the game, as well as connecting with the players to help each person in the program develop to become the best version of themselves. I cannot wait to get back in the gym and get started with this new crew!” His worked helped the Cardinals finish the 2022 season as one of the nation's top offensive and defensive programs, with Ball State ranking 13th nationally in kills (1,725) and fifth nationally in digs (2,206). BSU's attackers also finished the 2022 campaign ranked 43rd among the 332 ranked NCAA Division I programs with a .250 team attack percentage. The 2023 campaign saw t
