Wilkinson arrived at Boston College in 2002 after six years at Vermont. A native of Rockport, Mass. Wilkinson has led the Eagles to a number of successful seasons, including the 2008 season in which the Eagles captured the Fowle Trophy, given to the team of the year at the national championship regatta. In 2008, the Eagles won the women's and co-ed team national racing titles, and placed second in the coed dinghy championship final. In 2009, Wilkinson's team captured the co-ed team racing title for the second straight season, and the Eagles third national title. Then senior Adam Roberts was named Sportsman of the Year. The Fowle Trophy came back home to the Eagles in 2010 as the Eagles won the co-ed team competition national championship. The Eagles won the 2011 coed National Sailing Championship and placed five team members on the All-American team. The Eagles also took home the prestigious Fowle Trophy again. Wilkinson has coached three National Singlehanded Champions - Annie Haeger, Erika Reineke and Scott Rasmussen.
