Sophia Hyderally

Biography

Sophia Hyderally is in her third season in 2026 as Assistant Coach, Recruiting Coordinator with Brown gymnastics after joining the program ahead of the 2024 season. A former NCAA Regional qualifier on beam, Hyderally previously served as an assistant coach at Temple and Nebraska in addition to coaching at the club level. At Brown, she coaches vault and beam while also handling choreography for beam and floor. Through her first two seasons at Brown, the team has posted each of the top six scores in program history on beam, while her athletes have earned six All-GEC honors, two All-GEC Championship honors, one individual Ivy championship and three All-Ivy accolades. Individual gymnasts have also posted four of the top five scores in program history during Hyderally’s tenure. During the 2025 season, Brown finished the year ranked No. 2 in the GEC on beam, with two individuals ranked in the top three in the conference, and all six members of the beam lineup ranking in the top 25 in the GEC. She coached Emily Ford to the Ivy League individual title on beam, and helped choreograph senior Maya Davis to an NCAA Regional berth on floor, with Davis also earning GEC Specialist of the Year honors, as well as both the GEC and Ivy titles on floor. In her first season at Brown in 2024, Hyderally coached two student-athletes to USAG All-America accolades, including one first team honoree.
