Josep Silvestre

Biography

Josep Silvestre is an Assistant Coach for Bryant University Men's Soccer Program who leads international recruiting efforts and works primarily with field players while focusing on opposition scouting. He specializes in coaching defenders and defensive midfielders, contributing to teams leading the nation in major defensive statistical categories for two consecutive seasons. Originally from Castellón, Spain, Silvestre developed in the professional academies of Valencia and Castellón before playing collegiate soccer as a defender at Franklin Pierce University from 2019–2021, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees. He contributed to Franklin Pierce's defensive success, helping the team lead the nation in all major statistical categories for four consecutive years. His playing career culminated in helping Franklin Pierce win the NE-10 Regular Season and Tournament Championships and reach the NCAA Sweet 16 with a Top 10 Final National Ranking in 2021. Silvestre began his coaching career at Franklin Pierce in 2022, playing a pivotal role in international recruiting and contributing to a National Championship, earning multiple Coaching Staff of the Year honors including United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year. He joined Bryant University in 2023 under Coach Ruben Resendes, helping lead the program to a 16-2-2 record, AE Conference Champions, #21 Final National Ranking, and NE Soccer Journal Coaching Staff of the Year.
