After serving as the Athletic Director at Grand Rapids Christian for four years, he now teaches mathematics at the school. Graduated from Calvin in 1991 with a degree in economics. He also earned a mathematics and secondary education degree from Grand Valley State, along with his master's degree from Western Michigan University in secondary education.
