Biography

Detroit native Raymoan McAfee, a former Ferris State assistant and player, enters his second year on Andy Bronkema’s at Central Michigan men’s basketball staff. He was elevated to Associate Head Coach on April 23, 2026. “Coach McAfee has proven himself in every step of his coaching career,” Bronkema said. “His experience and growth put him on par with any assistant coach in the nation. He does things the right way and puts people first, making it an easy promotion from within. Raymoan played for me while I was an assistant and head coach, he volunteered, and was my top assistant so there is a long history of relationship and trust. A Detroit native, he joined us from Wayne State, where he continued to grow as a coach. Raymoan’s intensity and detailed thought process are things I’ve grown to appreciate about him.
