Bruening joined the Chatham University Women's Soccer Coaching Staff in 2019 following a stand-out four-year career on the pitch for the Cougars. From 2015-2018, Bruening was the anchor to the Cougar Midfield. She started every single game of her career (69) and is ranked third in the program career stats for total goals (29) and total points (99). The two year Captain was a three year All-PAC Team selection (2016, 2017, 2018) and the programs the first ever United Soccer Coaches All-Region player (2017). The Madison Ohio native, earned her BA in PreK-4 Education at Chatham in the spring of 2019 and completed her Masters in Communication at Chatham in the spring of 2021.
