Jim Mosso

Biography

Jim Mosso was named the head coach in August, 2022 and completed his third season with the Falcons in 2024-25. The Falcons have steadily improved throughout Mosso's tenure compiling a record of 12-14-1 in the 2024-25 campaign. The season also saw the Falcons set their program-best winning streak from late December to early January, winning seven games in a row, which was capped off by a 2-1 win over the No. 4 Green Knights of St. Norbert College. The win marked the Falcons' first victory over a ranked opponent since the 2019-20 season, and the first since Mosso's time with CUW. In addition, the Falcons won the Border Battle Cup for the second-straight season. Mosso comes to Concordia with eight years of head coaching experience and six years as a general manager. He started the Vermont Lumberjacks Premier team from scratch. He was voted the Coach of the Year in the Eastern Hockey League during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. He was also a part of the staff at the University of New England that earned the Coach of the Year title in the 2021-22 season. Before his time in Maine, he served as the head coach and general manager of the Vermont Lumberjacks from 2015 to 2021. He boasted a record of 184-71-7 with the Lumberjacks and sent 53 players to NCAA programs.
