Emily Garner was named the Rebecca Quinn Morgan '60 Head Coach of Cornell Women's Basketball in April of 2024, becoming the eighth head coach in school history. In her first season, Garner led the Big Red to a 7-20 overall record and 3-11 record in Ivy League play. In 2025-26, Cornell finished 9-18 overall and 4-10 in league play, showing steady improvement across multiple statistical categories. Prior to Cornell, Garner guided Trinity (Conn.) to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (2023, 2024) and the school's first-ever NESCAC regular season title, posting a 124-55 record with her teams. She was named the 2021-22 NESCAC Coach of the Year and D3Hoops.com Regional Coach of the Year in 2022-23. Her Trinity teams were among the top defensively in the country, ranking in the top 40 nationally in scoring defense. Garner's commitment to player development led to four major conference award winners, including three different Defensive Players of the Year and a two-time All-American. She previously served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Army West Point (2012-16), helping the Black Knights to four postseason appearances and a 99-28 record. As a player, Garner was a three-year starter for Lafayette College, elected team captain as a senior and earning Patriot League All-Tournament honors, graduating ranked in the top 10 in school history in rebounds and free throws.

Corcoran joined the Big Red in April of 2024 as an assistant coach. In her first season, she helped guide the Big Red to a 7-20 overall record and 3-11 record in Ivy League play. Before joining the Big Red, Corcoran was involved in all phases of the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball office at UAlbany, where she served as the team's Director of Basketball Operations in her second stint with the school. She focused on office and team budgetary matters and team travel and assisted in the operations of the annual basketball camps. Corcoran got her first full-time start in women's hoops with Dartmouth women's basketball in the 2022-23 season. She served as the Big Green's Director of Basketball Operations and oversaw all administrative functions of the program. In addition to organizing the team's schedules and travel plans, she also served as the team's social media manager and content creator. Corcoran got her start with the Great Danes, serving as the Graduate Assistant Coach for two seasons while earning her master's degree. Her primary responsibilities consisted of working with the communications department for social media and content creation, coordinating student-athlete community service opportunities, and creating the monthly alumni newsletter. A four-year women's basketball student-athlete, Corcoran graduated from Le Moyne College in May 2020. A two-year captain of the Dolphins, she led her team to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2019.
