Head Men's Basketball Coach
Rusty Loyd joined the DePauw staff as head men's basketball coach in April 2022. Prior to DePauw, he served as head men's basketball coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology since 2014, leading the Fightin' Engineers to a 120-78 overall record and an 82-43 mark in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play over eight seasons. He was named HCAC Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2021, and his teams appeared in the HCAC Tournament championship game three times. Loyd directed Rose-Hulman to the HCAC regular season conference title in 2018 while tying for second in 2019 and 2022. He was named to the Silver Waves Media list of 50 Impactful Head Coaches in NCAA Division III men's basketball in 2020 and 2022. Before becoming head coach at Rose-Hulman, he was the assistant men's basketball coach and head men's golf coach there for five seasons. Loyd started his coaching career as an assistant at Earlham College for two seasons, followed by stints at Lewis University and his alma mater. His first head coaching position came in June 2006 at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he remained until 2009. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a standout player for the Maroons, helping lead the team to a 76-29 four-year record while starting three years and serving as captain.

Volunteer Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Joined the DePauw staff as a volunteer assistant men's basketball coach August 2022. During the summer of 2022, prior to joining DePauw's coaching staff he was the Assistant Coach for Grand Park Premier 17U on the Under Armour AAU circuit. From 2020-22 Dietrich acted as a graduate assistant for the Indiana State Men's Basketball team. As an undergraduate Dietrich served three years as the Indiana State Men's Basketball student manager, assisting with the program's day-to-day operations related to practices, game days and during road trips. Selected as one of 12 student managers from across the country to assist in the inaugural NCAA Basketball Academy hosted by the University of Illinois in 2019. At the NCAA Basketball Academy, Dietrich worked with over 200 high school recruits while assisting coaches across all divisions of basketball with drills and game operations. As a student manager, he assisted with Indiana State Basketball camps, as well as Matt Painter's Basketball Camps at Purdue. While at Indiana State, Dietrich worked with all-Conference honorees Jake LaRavia (Memphis Grizzlies), Tyreke Key (University of Tennessee), and Jordan Barnes (Germany). Earned a bachelor's degree in recreation and sports management in three years at Indiana State University in the spring of 2020. Earned his Masters degree at Indiana State in 2022.
