Patrick Ernst

Biography

Coach Ernst took over the women's volleyball team in the Fall of 2020 and is entering his sixth season as Head Coach. Ernst comes to Dominican after spending the past six years as an assistant coach at fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Felician University. In 2019, the Golden Falcons won their first CACC regular-season division championship and made its first appearance in the league semifinals. Ernst is also entering his eighth season with the Conquest Elite Volleyball Club in Aberdeen. He also coaches Conquest's U18 girls' team. Previously, Ernst spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Union County College and varsity boys head coach at Och Academy of West Orange. A 2008 graduate of Cranford High, Ernst played basketball and golf at UCC before earning an A.A. in sports management in 2010. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management. During the 2023-2024 season, Ernst led the first year program men's volleyball team in their inaugural season. Ernst enters his third season as Head Coach of the men's volleyball program in 2026.
