updated April 2026 Former Duke All-American and two-time team captain Jon Scheyer has quickly established himself among the premier head coaches in college basketball, guiding the Blue Devils to unprecedented success. Through four seasons, Scheyer has amassed 124 career victories, the most by any Division I head coach in their first four seasons, while leading Duke to three ACC Tournament championships, three NCAA Elite Eight appearances and a trip to the Final Four. His teams have consistently ranked among the nation’s best, highlighted by multiple No. 1 rankings, dominant statistical profiles and a nation-leading number of victories over AP-ranked opponents during that span. In 2025-26, Scheyer was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I Coach of the Year after leading Duke to a 35-3 record, a 17-1 mark in ACC play and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. His 25 wins over AP-ranked opponents through four seasons are the most in the nation, further underscoring Duke’s sustained excellence against elite competition.
