Michael Anderson returns to his alma mater in 2017-18 as the head men's and women's tennis coach. He is in his eighth season with both programs in 2024-25. During his time with the Blue Jays, Anderson has coached 12 women's Landmark All-Conference honorees and led them to the Landmark Conference Semifinals in 2018 and 2019. Anderson coached Etown's first Landmark All-Conference honoree on the men's side during the 2023-24 season. The 2013 Elizabethtown College graduate has coached at the scholastic level for the last four years. In his first season as head coach of the Wyomissing Area High School girls' program, Anderson guided the Spartans to the 2016 District 3 Class AA and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class AA championships. Wyomissing won its fifth state championship in program history with a 3-1 victory over District 7 champ Beaver. Anderson has also held assistant coaching roles with the Wyomissing boys' and Wilson High School girls' teams. As a student-athlete for the Blue Jays, Anderson contributed to the men's tennis program's 2011 and 2012 MAC Commonwealth championships. He played primarily at No. 3 doubles, putting together a three-year doubles record of 27-13. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science in elementary and middle level education from Elizabethtown College in 2013, and is presently teaching sixth grade English in the Wilson School District.
