Head Coach
James Ramsey was named the 13th Head Coach in Georgia Tech baseball history on June 5, 2025. He completed his seventh year on the Georgia Tech coaching staff and fifth year in his role as Associate Head Coach. During his time at Tech, he has signed four Top 5 ranked recruiting classes and coached 22 All-ACC, 7 All-American, 5 Freshman All-American hitters including one National Freshman of the Year in Drew Burress. He has coached 17 draft picks on the offensive side and three semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Award. Since taking over the offense in 2019, Georgia Tech leads the ACC in batting average (.308), OPS (.918), OBP (.408), hits (3,961), and doubles (796). Ramsey joined the Yellow Jackets in 2019 after being one of the best to ever don the Garnet and Gold at Florida State, winning ABCA Player of the Year and ACC Player of the Year honors, in addition to being named an All-American, and getting selected in the first round of the MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. He had a fine professional career with several teams, including helping the Columbus Clippers to a AAA International League Championship in 2015. An Atlanta native, Ramsey lives in the city with his wife, Grace, son Brogan and daughter Reese.

Director of Pitching
Veteran college baseball coach Jason Richman enters his third season on The Flats, being named Georgia Tech's director of pitching on Oct. 11, 2023. Richman joined the Yellow Jackets after a three-year stint as the pitching coach at USC Aiken. He helped the Pacers to an 11-year improvement in 2022, reaching the PBC Tournament semifinals after a 20-10 conference season. He tutored multiple all-conference and all-region selections. Prior to USC Aiken, Richman was the player development coach at his alma mater, Georgia Southern for three seasons. As a player in Statesboro, Richman was tabbed the 2014 Southern Conference Most Outstanding Player and was the Tom Walter/Pete Frates College Baseball Inspiration Award Winner. He was drafted in the 18th round of the 2015 MLB Draft to the Texas Rangers, working his way to Triple A with the Rangers and Dodgers.

Assistant Coach
Josh Schulman came to The Flats in July of 2024 as an assistant coach. He joined Tech following three 40-win seasons with Wofford baseball, where he served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. In 2024, Wofford tied its program record for wins with a 42-20 mark, the third-straight 40-win campaign for the program. The Terriers also boasted a 12-8 league clip and returned to the SoCon Championship for a third-straight year, defeating Samford twice to secure Wofford's second SoCon Tournament title. Schulman also served as an assistant coach with Yale from 2018-21, handling baserunning and catching, and previously worked with Pomona-Pitzer baseball. As a player at the University of Rochester, Schulman was a left-handed pitcher who earned honorable-mention All-Liberty League honors as a senior and was named to the Capital One Academic All-District team. He led the UAA and Liberty League in shutouts in 2015, breaking the school record. Schulman graduated from Rochester in 2015 with degrees in Political Science and English and received his Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M in 2017. A native of College Station, Texas, he attended A&M Consolidated and batted .380 as a senior while earning First Team All-District honors.

Assistant Coach/Pitching/Recruiting Coordinator
Former Atlanta Braves assistant pitching coordinator and Georgia State pitching coach Matt Taylor was named the Georgia Tech baseball pitching coach on June 8, 2023. Taylor joins the Yellow Jackets after earning an opportunity to be the minor league pitching coordinator for the Atlanta Braves following three years as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at nearby Georgia State. During his time with the Braves, Taylor oversaw the development of prospects such as AJ Smith-Shawver, Spencer Schwellenbach, JR Ritchie, Owen Murphy and Dylan Dodd. He helped lead the Braves minor league pitching ranked to a No.1 ranking in K-BB%, and No. 2 in xFIP in 2022. In three seasons at Georgia State, Taylor's time culminated in 2022 when he helped coach the Panthers to their first 30-win season in seven years with a program-record 505 strikeouts. Prior to GSU, Taylor spent two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as a scouting assistant and area supervisor, and one season in player development with the Baltimore Orioles, the team that drafted him in the fifth round of 2011. A left-handed pitcher, Taylor played seven seasons in the Orioles system, including as a 2014 Carolina League All-Star. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Taylor was a prep All-American and Georgia Player of the Year in 2009, played one season at Alabama helping them reach the NCAA Super Regional, and earned his degree in sociology from Columbus State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2017.
