The High Point University Men's Lacrosse program added Matthew Lintner to the 2025 coaching staff as announced by Head Coach John Crawley in July of 2024. Prior to HPU, Lintner spent four seasons at Roanoke College under head coach Bill Pilat's men's lacrosse staff where he previously played four years of lacrosse before graduating in 2019. After joining the Maroons in the fall of 2020 as the second assistant coach, he was elevated to the lead assistant coach and recruiting coordinator during the 2024 season. Over his four years, he ran the offensive side of the ball, being named the team's offensive coordinator in the summer of 2021. He also ran the team's extra man unit all four years, coached the faceoff unit in the 2021 season, worked with the goalies all four years, and served as the team's strength and conditioning coordinator from summer of 2021-November of 2023. During his time as a student-athlete at Roanoke, Lintner played in 66 games for head coach Bill Pilat.
