Mychal Covington is a dedicated basketball coach and former player, hailing from Pontiac, Michigan. He played under Coach Greg Kampe at Oakland University from 1998 to 2002, where he excelled as a point guard. During his senior season, Covington ranked eighth in the nation with an impressive average of 7.1 assists per game, finishing his career fifth all-time at the university with 514 assists. He played a crucial role in leading the Golden Grizzlies to the Mid-Con regular season title during their inaugural year of Division I competition in 1999-2000.
