Land enters his 11th year at the helm of JU's rowing program in 2025-26. The Jacksonville women's team has won six Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference titles and appeared in six NCAA Championships in his tenure. Jacksonville University named Mike Lane as its Director of Rowing and Head Women's Coach in October of 2015. Lane, joining Jacksonville after eight seasons as Penn's head coach, brings a variety of experience to the highly successful Dolphin rowing program. Prior to his appointment at Penn, Lane built an impressive coaching resume. Before arriving in Philadelphia, he served as the men's freshman heavyweight rowing coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Before joining the staff at MIT, Lane served as program director and head coach for the Everett (Wash.) Rowing Association from 1997 to 2000.
