He spent the previous three seasons as an offensive graduate for the Wildcats, working with the wide receivers and quarterbacks. During his first as an offensive graduate assistant, Wallace helped K-State rank in the top 10 in school history in 32 game or season categories in 2023. Among those was a school-record 30 passing touchdowns, No. 2 rankings in offensive yards per game (445.2) and first downs (310), and No. 3 showings in total yards (5,788), completions (258) and pass attempts (426). It was more of the same in 2024 as K-State finished in the top 15 nationally in four offensive categories and ranked in the top 10 in school history in 15 game or season categories, the latter featuring school records for offensive yards per play (6.57) and rushing yards per carry (6.08).
