He came to Manhattan after spending the previous three seasons at South Carolina, first as a graduate assistant in 2023 and 2024, while he was a defensive assistant in 2025, working primarily with the defensive tackles. Over the past three years, Dove was part of a Gamecock defensive staff that saw their unit produce a combined 63 turnovers to tie for 20th in the nation and rank third in the SEC. He aided in the development of four NFL players, including draft picks Zacch Pickens (2023 3rd round by Chicago), TJ Sanders (2025 2nd round by Buffalo) and Tonka Hemingway (2025 4th round by Las Vegas). This past season, Dove tutored a USC defensive tackle unit that ranked first in the SEC and fourth in Power 4 in tackles (according to Pro Football Focus), while they were third in the conference and 11th in the Power 4 in tackles for loss. In 2024, the Gamecocks earned a 9-4 record and a trip to the Citrus Bowl as they finished No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25. Dove was part of a
