Gilliam’s responsibilities include recruiting evaluation, game plan preparation and player development. Since coming to K-State, Gilliam has helped lead the program to nine postseason appearances including six NCAA Tournaments. Prior to coming to Manhattan, she served on Mittie’s coaching staff for two seasons while he was at TCU and was also a four-year letterwinner as a player for Mittie with the Horned Frogs. During her time at TCU, Gilliam was promoted to assistant coach prior to the start of the 2012-13 season and served two seasons as an assistant coach on Mittie’s staff in Fort Worth. Prior to her promotion, Gilliam served as the Horned Frogs’ director of operations for two seasons. Erin Greenwald is in her fifth season as an athletic trainer at Kansas State and her third season with the women’s basketball program. Prior to joining the K-State women’s basketball support staff, Greenwald served as the K-State track and field and cross country athletic trainer for the previous two seasons. During her time with the K-State track and field and cross country programs, Greenwald was responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation programs for the Wildcat track and field student-athletes. Prior to coming to K-State, Greenwald spent seven seasons at Sacramento State including the final two seasons as the head football and baseball athletic trainer. From 2014-19, Greenwald served as an assistant athletic trainer with the football and baseball programs. Greenwald received her Bachelor of Science in athletic training with a minor in business administration from Florida in 2012. She completed her Master of Science, Kinesiology with a concentration in movement studies from Sacramento State in 2015. Lane Trudo is in his fifth season with the K-State women’s basketball program as the strength and conditioning coach. In his role as the team’s strength and conditioning coach, Trudo is responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for the team as a whole and individual student-athletes. He also works with the K-State Athletic Training staff to facilitate individualized rehabilitation programs for athlete recovery from surgical procedures or injuries. Prior to coming to Manhattan, Trudo worked for two seasons at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he started as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning and was promoted to Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports for the 2020-21 season. While with the Bears, Trudo worked with the men’s and women’s basketball programs and the volleyball and beach volleyball squads where he designed and implemented the training for those teams. In the 2020-21 season, Trudo was responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for 10 sports. As a result of his efforts, Mercer women’s basketball won the 2021 Southern Conference title and reached the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Madison Pahls is in her second season on head coach Jeff Mittie’s staff as the director of basketball administration. Pahls’ responsibilities with the Wildcats include: film exchange with opponents, editing film clips for the coaching staff and players, assisting the coaching staff in collecting and editing film of recruits, arranging Zoom sessions with recruits, summer camp management and technology liaison. Prior to joining the K-State women’s basketball staff, Pahls worked for No Stone Unturned Therapeutic Learning Center in Manhattan where she provided speech and language intervention, evaluation and assessment services to patients ages 0-19 with various speech and language needs (feeding and swallowing, articulation, cognition, dyslexia, voice disorders, pragmatics, expressive and receptive language and AAC. She planned lessons for all clients based on their primary concerns and individual interests. Pahls graduated from Fort Hays State with her bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020 and her masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. During her time at Fort Hays State, Pahls was a four-year letterwinner on the women’s basketball team. She played in 114 career games and tallied 514 points, 271 rebounds and 109 assists. She was a five-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll recipient and a three-time DSADA Academic Achievement Award recipient. She is married to Sam Pahls and the couple had their first child in January of 2025.

During his time in Warrensburg, Nicholson helped the Jennies to a 161-53 (.752) overall record, the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship, a 2021 NCAA Division II Final Four appearance, two MIAA regular season titles and one MIAA postseason crown.
