Bryant Odom

Biography

A Division I All-American and member of a national championship team at the University of Georgia, Bryant Odom was named head coach of the Kennesaw State men's golf program on Aug. 11, 2015. In his 10 years as the Kennesaw State head men's golf coach, Odom has lived up to and heightened the expectations of a program that won back-to-back ASUN Conference championships, made three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances and had an individual reach the NCAA National Championships during his tenure. Odom became the 11th head coach in program history and third since KSU moved to Division I in 2006, after spending two years as head coach at Western Carolina. During his tenure at Western Carolina, he mentored two-time All-American J.T. Poston, who advanced to the NCAA Championships as an individual in 2015. Prior to Western Carolina, Odom served two years as an assistant coach at Wisconsin from 2011 to 2013, and began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Georgia from 2009-2011 where the Bulldogs captured the 2011 SEC championship. Before coaching, Odom played professionally from 2002-2005 and again in 2008 on various professional tours. At Georgia, he was an All-American in 2001 and three-time All-SEC selection, helping the Bulldogs to back-to-back conference titles in 2000 and 2001. He captured individual medalist honors at the 2001 SEC Championships and was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree. A native of Cartersville, Georgia, Odom is married to former Georgia wom
