Head Coach
Rob Senderoff just completed his 15th season as Kent State's head coach and ranks as the all-time winningest coach in program history with 312 wins. With 312 victories, Senderoff is 7th all-time in wins in MAC History. Senderoff has a total of 10 seasons with 20+ wins. He led the Golden Flashes to their second straight National Invitation Tournament appearance posting a record of 24-10. In the previous season, he led the Golden Flashes to the 2024-2025 National Invitation Tournament Quarterfinal posting a record of 24-12. This postseason run saw Kent State defeat Stanford marking Senderoff’s seventh victory over a traditional power conference opponent. Senderoff led the Golden Flashes to the 2023-24 MAC Tournament Championship game after coming in as a No.8 seed and beating the No.1 in the first round. In the 2022-23 season, Senderoff led the team to a 22-game win streak at home, the second-longest in MAC history. In the 2022-23 season led by Senderoff, point guard Sincere Carry had one of the most successful seasons in Kent State history. The MAC Player of the Year averaged more than 20 points per game in conference play and almost five assists per game. Carry was named to the MAC All-Defensive team as well as a member of the All-MAC First Team. Carry was aided by fellow MAC All-Defensive team member, Malique Jacobs, during the historic season. Graduate Assistant
Cormac Reilly joined the Kent State University men’s basketball program as a Graduate Assistant in August of 2025. Reilly assists with player development and assists with video for practice, opponent scouting, games, and recruiting. He is also responsible for the organization and management of the team managers. He also organizes recruiting calendars, as well as itineraries and travel for road games. Prior to Kent State, Reilly served as Assistant Varsity Coach and JV Head Coach at Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, during the 2024-2025 season. There, he was responsible for varsity scouting, opponent game planning, and the development of the offensive playbook; managing program social media; coordinating camps; supporting college recruiting; and organizing team logistics. Since August 2024, Reilly has also served as a Skills Trainer and the Founder of Proper Hoops LLC in New York, New York. There, he has delivered individualized and group skill training, emphasized fundamentals, conditioning, basketball IQ, and film breakdown. In addition to Proper Hoops, he has served as Assistant to the Director of Team Tournaments for the Hoop Group in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, since April of 2025. Before the Hoop Group, Reilly was a coach for the New York Renaissance, where he was an assistant coach at the 17U level with the Rens United Program. Assistant Coach/Video Coordinator
Luke Trondson joined the Kent State men’s basketball staff in May of 2023 as a graduate assistant. A native of Milan, Illinois, Trondson came from Austin Peay State University where he served as a graduate assistant for one season under Nate James. While with the Governors, Trondson served as the team’s video coordinator and director of analytics, as well as assisting in many other roles for the team. Trondson helped guide the team to their first win over an American Athletic Conference opponent in mid-November at South Florida, as well through a difficult ASUN Conference schedule in the school’s first season. Prior to Austin Peay State, Trondson was a Student Manager for The Ohio State University and served under Chris Holtmann. During his time, the Buckeyes went 62-32 and reached the NCAA Tournament in every year that it occurred. Trondson also played a part in the development of NBA Players Duane Washington Jr., EJ Liddell, and Malaki Branham. In his final year in Columbus, he served heavily in the scouting, operations, and player development efforts. Trondson graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State in May of 2022, earning a bachelor's degree in Sport Industry, with minors in Business Management and Coaching Education. Trondson will be pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Administration and is set to graduate in 2025.
