Melko joins the Mountaineer staff as an assistant coach, entering his first season in the 2025 schedule. As a player, Melko played for the Mountaineers in the 2021 season, started every game for Mansfield and blasted onto the scene. In his solo year, Melko earned a spot on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Second Team, Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Second Team, American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Second Team, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division First Team. In his signature game for the Mounties, Melko went 3 for 3 with five RBI's and a home run, including a walk-off two run double to knock off Shippensburg, highlighted by his 11 home run, 28 RBI, 24 runs, and .313 batting average campaign.
