Brendan McIntyre

Biography

2026 marks Brendan McIntyre's 11th season on the Lehigh men’s soccer coaching staff. McIntyre has previously served in a variety of roles within the Lehigh program including Assistant Coach and Director of Soccer Operations.McIntyre holds the USSF "C" License and serves as a head coach at the ECNL level with Lehigh Valley United. McIntyre helped guide the 2019 Mountain Hawks to their third Patriot League Championship in program history and the team's fifth NCAA Tournament appearance. In addition, McIntyre assisted Lehigh to just its second-ever regular season crown and No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. The Mountain Hawks closed out the 2019 campaign with a 13-5-3 overall record, an unbeaten 6-0-3 record in the Patriot League and an undefeated home record of 7-0-3 at the Ulrich Sports Complex. A Bethlehem native, McIntyre played his college soccer at Muhlenberg College where he earned four varsity letters while competing at defensive central midfielder for the Mules. The 2010 Muhlenberg men's soccer team recorded the longest unbeaten streak in program history (15 games) and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship after earning an at-large bid. While at Muhlenberg, McIntyre also competed at the club level for Lehigh Valley United Sonic and helped the squad capture the 2012 NPSL National Championship. Prior to competing at the collegiate level, the Bethlehem native completed his prep career at Freedom High School. McIntyre obtained his
