Shawna Cyrus

Biography

Shawna (Feldt) Cyrus is set to return for her 17th season at the helm of Lewis & Clark College softball in the spring of 2026. Cyrus has helped turn around the Pioneers program from a perennial last-place team to earning their first three trips to the Northwest Conference in 2021, 2024 and 2025. She sits first in program history in overall and conference wins. The Pioneers have seen an influx of talent under Cyrus including the program's four All-Region honorees in the past nine seasons and four or more All-Conference award winners in each of the past five season. In the past seven seasons alone, Lewis & Clark student-athletes have rewritten the offensive record books and made major dents on the pitching side as well. Cyrus joined the Pioneers after serving as an assistant coach at Oregon State for four seasons. Prior to joining the Oregon State staff, Cyrus coached the Fort Vancouver High School softball team, taking the struggling program to the district playoffs her first season. Cyrus was later named District Coach of the Year. Cyrus also played professional softball in the Netherlands, while also serving as a coach. During her time in the Netherlands, she helped lead her team to the European Cup Championship in Forli, Italy in 2003. While playing with the Dutch club, she also served as the head coach of the 19-under junior team, which won the Holland Cup.
