Rob VanCleve brings 25 years of Cross-Country & Track coaching experience as well over 20 years experience in education. VanCleve is a 1990 graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Advertising, as well as a 1991 FSU Masters of Education graduate in Social Sciences Education. He brings to MBU a Level I USATF coaching certificate as well as several academic certifications. VanCleve is married to MBU alumnae Meghan (Ward) VanCleve, '04, a former MBU field hockey player. Rob has extensive experience as head coach and/or assistant coach at Brevard College and five high schools since 1991. Many of his teams won conference or regional titles and finished among the top six schools in the state championship meet. While at Safe Ridge School in Reno, NV, his boys' cross-country team won five State Championships and his girls' cross country team won two State Championships. Most recently, he is the owner and coach of the RVC Running Club (since 2012) for adult runners and the Founder and Coach of the Drexel Striders youth girls distance running team (since 2021). Individually, VanCleve is a five-time national master's track champion in distance races from the 1,500 meters to 5k. He ran competitively from 1989-2010 specializing in the 800 (1:59) and 1500 meters (4:06). During that time, he won five-time Masters Track National Champions in distances from the 1500 meters (4:13) to the 3K (8:42). During the autumn months, VanCle
