Kevin Hurd is in his first season (2022-Present) as Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach at MSOE, taking over after three games in the 2022-23 season. He previously served as an assistant men's basketball coach at MSOE during the 2021-22 season and also serves as the head women's golf coach at the institution. Hurd brings significant coaching experience, including roles as a Graduate Assistant at Minot State (2014-15), Assistant Coach at UW-Stevens Point (2015-19), and Assistant Coach at Carroll University (2019-21). As a player, Hurd had a distinguished basketball career at Carroll University from 2010-2014, where he was a three-time captain and three-time All-Midwest Conference selection. He holds multiple school records at Carroll, including distinctions in three-pointers made in a season/career and career three-point shot percentage, and was part of one of the school's winningest four-year classes in history. Hurd earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Carroll University in 2014 and his Master's degree in Business Management from Minot State in 2016. Originally from Portage, Wisconsin, he has established himself as a skilled basketball coach with deep roots in the sport at both the playing and coaching levels.
