Biography

BYU ‘87 32nd year in coaching, 7th at NC State PLAYING EXPERIENCE: COLLEGE – Played cornerback at BYU (1987-90), helping lead the Cougars to a bowl game in each of his four seasons. An All-WAC performer, he still holds the school record for longest interception return (97 yards vs. New Mexico in 1989). Tallied 13 career INTs, which ranks fifth in the school’s record book, while his five picks in 1989 were a season high. PROFESSIONAL - A seventh-round draft choice of the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL Draft, he went on to play in 36 games over three seasons for the Falcons (1991-93). EDUCATION: Earned a B.S. in social work from BYU in 1995. PERSONAL: Born Dec. 13, 1968 in Waco, Texas. He and his wife, Carri, have three children: son Brian and daughters Halie and Mikenzi.
