Kody Cook

Biography

Kody Cook is in his third season at Old Dominion and his first as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. In his first two seasons Cook coached the wide receivers. In 2025 led by Cook, Old Dominion was one of nine schools to have three players with more than 600 yards receiving. Tre Brown finished sixth in the country with 20.01 yards per reception and earned third team All-Sun Belt honorsl while Ja'Cory Thomas caught 41 passes for 719 yards and Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding led the trio with 51 catches. Cook helped lead the development of Isiah Paige to earn All-Sun Belt Conference honors and the best season of Paige's career. Paige led the Monarchs and finished sixth in the Sun Belt with 61 receptions for 819 yards. Diante Vines, a transfer from Iowa, was ODU's third leading receiver with 36 grabs for 393 yards and Myles Alston, who played in just one games in 2023, caught 23 passes for 246 yards on the year. True freshman Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding played in eight games, primarily on special teams, but got a chance late in the year and caught a touchdown pass against Marshall. Cook came to ODU after spending two years as assistant wide receivers coach at Tennessee. In his two years with the Volunteers, Cook helped Tennessee to an 11-2 record in 2022 and a win over Clemson in the Orange Bowl, and this past season the Vols went 9-4 with a win over Iowa in the Citrus Bowl.
