Biography

Zak Taylor, a former Oregon State infielder and 2018 National Champion, re-joined the program as Oregon State's Director of Beaver Baseball Development in August of 2023. The 2025 season marks his second in his return to Corvallis. With Oregon State, Taylor is responsible for working with the team's alumni, OSU's camps as well as the mental skills aspect of baseball. He returned to Oregon State after working as a mental performance trainer with ROKKE performance therapy. Taylor, who graduated with a degree in psychology after the 2019 season, played in 141 games over four seasons for the Beavers, starting in 82. He batted .233 with 20 doubles, one triple, three home runs and 40 runs batted in. The Sherwood, Ore., native drew a walk to open the ninth inning in game two of the 2018 College World Series Championship Series against Arkansas.
