Ian Falconer

Biography

Ian Falconer enters his sixth season as head coach in 2026. He took the reigns from former coach and now Athletic Director, Keith Buckley following the 2019 season. In his first season as head coach, Falconer led the Boxers to their best Northwest Conference record (5-2) since 2014. Pacific finished 6-3 overall, with two of those losses coming to ranked opponents. Falconer saw 15 Boxers receive All-NWC honors in the 2021 season with four First-Team honorees. Falconer came to Pacific from Lewis & Clark where he served as offensive line coach and offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2009. He began his college coaching career at L&C, serving as tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator during the 2003 season. In between Lewis & Clark stints, Falconer spent two years at NCAA Division III Oberlin College (OH), where he worked as the offensive line coach and assistant head coach. He also served as the Yeomen's strength and conditioning coach and recruiting coordinator. In addition to his college experience, Falconer spent the 2002 season as the assistant offensive line coach at West Linn High School. Falconer played his college football at Portland State University. He was a four-year offensive line standout for the Vikings, earning All-Big Sky Conference honors at center as a senior. He played a key role on a Portland State offensive line that gave up only 12 sacks during the 2000 season. Falconer earned his bachelor's degree in social science from Portland State in 2000.
