Tyler Pacheco

Biography

Tyler Pacheco begins his first season at Providence College as the director of basketball operations. Last year, Pacheco joined the University of South Florida men’s basketball team as the director of basketball operations. He helped the Bulls capture the AAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament titles after posting a 25-9 mark. The squad also earned the Bulls’ first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012. Pacheco spent two seasons at The University of Texas, where he served as the director of recruiting after a stint as a graduate manager. While with the Longhorns, he played a role in the team’s back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, once in the Big 12 and the other in the SEC. During the 2023-24 season in Austin, Texas posted a 21-13 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32. With its victory over Colorado State in the NCAA Round of 64, the Longhorns won their NCAA First Round game for the third consecutive season. This marked the first time Texas has accomplished the feat since UT won four-straight NCAA First-Round games from 2006-09. In 2025, he helped the Longhorns make another appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Pacheco was selected in 2025 and 2026 to attend the Silver Waves Media Rising Stars Power Lunch, for coaches who have distinguished themselves as rising stars in college basketball.
