Director of Player Development (2nd season)
Matthew Ambrose enters his third season as the Director of Player Development for the Purdue Fort Wayne men’s basketball program in 2026-27 after contributing to a pair of winning seasons in his first two campaigns in Fort Wayne. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the development of student-athletes, focusing on skill development and personal growth both on-and-off the court. He also assists with day-to-day operations involving all aspects of the program. Ambrose began his collegiate playing career at the University of Indianapolis before transferring to Calvin University, where he served as team captain during his senior year. He played a pivotal role in the team's advancement to the NCAA Elite 8 in 2024, contributing in a key bench role. A native of Kildeer, Illinois, Ambrose graduated from Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, where he was a three-year team captain and earned all-state honors as a junior and senior.

Assistant Coach (7th season)
Mike Wolf is in his seventh season with the Mastodons in 2026-27 and his seventh as an assistant coach. He served as the Director of Operations for the 'Dons in 2019-20. The Mastodons were the only team in the league to earn two nods on the All-Horizon League First Team in 2024-25. The ‘Dons put together a 12-2 home record and picked up a bye in the opening round of the league postseason tournament. They were just a win short of a 20-win campaign. The 2023-24 season saw the Mastodons win 23 games and make an appearance in the CIT championship game. Four ‘Dons finished the season averaging double-digit points. In 2022-23, the Mastodons notched another winning season while graduating five seniors. The successful campaign came after 2021-22 season where the Mastodons won the Horizon League regular season, set a school record with 10 Division I wins in a row, win 20 games for the fourth time in program history, and earn its first ever berth in the College Basketball Insider postseason tournament. The 'Dons led the league in overall defense, forced turnovers, and had two all-league players in Jarred Godfrey and Jalon Pipkins. Deonte Billups was recognized as the league's Sixth Man of The Year. Jon Coffman was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year. Wolf helped lead the Mastodons to the program's first-ever CBI bid in 2022 after capturing the 2021-22 Horizon League regular season title.
