Why is he still smiling? Tom Pecora will enter his third season as Head Coach at Quinnipiac University in 2025-26. Pecora – a veteran with 16 years of experience as a head coach at the Division I level – has won back-to-back MAAC Coach of the Year awards after leading Quinnipiac to two consecutive regular season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Bobcats went 15-5 in league play during Pecora’s first season at the helm in 2023-24, then followed up with another 15-5 MAAC record in 2024-25. Pecora just completed his eighth season in total with the Bobcats (previously served as Associate HC from 2017-2023). He was announced as Quinnipiac’s next Head Coach on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Pecora has guided his teams to 305-279 record as a collegiate Head Coach (stops at SUNY Farmingdale, Hofstra, Fordham, and Quinnipiac). Brijesh Patel joined Quinnipiac University in August 2008 as the athletic department's Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Patel previously held the title of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Director of Athlete Mental Wellness & Performance
Devin Markle, Psy.D., M.Ed joined the Quinnipiac Athletic department in the fall of 2021 as the Clinical Sports Psychology Coach. She is responsible for all of the athletic programs and works to create individual, team and coaches workshops related to sports psychology. Markle comes to Quinnipiac with over seven years of experience with working with all athletes, ranging from professional to youth. She most recently was a psychological assistant for the Fulton Psychological Group where she specialized in working with 4 to 18 year olds, counseling for mental health concerns as well as performance psychology. In 2018, she started her own private practice which specialized in helping athletes and business people to reach their highest level of performance. From August 2015 to 2018, Markle served as the Co-Director of Mindset Development at the Mamba Sports Academy. She was responsible for training athletes of all ages and levels and implementing mental skills training with individuals. In addition, she helped design the NBA and NFL Pre-Draft Training Program while working with the Mamba Sports Academy. Markle earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English at the University of Vermont in 2010. She then went on to earn her Master's in Education in Counseling and Sport Psychology from Boston University in 2013. By 2020, Markle had also earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University.

Over his four years on staff, Robinson helped recruit two All-Americans, three All-NEWMAC Selections – including the 2022 D3Hoops.com National Rookie of the Year and the 2020 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year. Prior to returning to his Alma Mater, Robinson served as an assistant at Assumption College (2017-2018) and Widener University (2015-2017). As a student-athlete, Robinson was the 2010-11 NEWMAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year, as well as a repeat All-NEWMAC selection, and back-to-back D3hoops.com All-Region honoree. Meehan joined the Bobcats' full-time staff prior to the 2024-25 season after serving as QU's Graduate Assistant during the previous two years. Most recently, Meehan played a pivotal role in helping the Bobcats capture back-to-back MAAC regular season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25. As Director of Player Development & Operations, Meehan will supervise many essential day-to-day tasks both on and off the floor. QU's 19-4 start over their first 23 games marked the program's best start to a year since the 1965-66 campaign. Morris helped pioneer a Quinnipiac offense that set a new record for total points (2,630). Quinnipiac went 15-5 in MAAC play once again in 2024-25, capturing the program’s second consecutive MAAC Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats went 20-13 in total, and QU went 12-2 at home during 2024-25. The Bobcats have advanced to the MAAC semifinals four times over the last eight years since Morris joined the staff. QU won a pair of postseason games to reach the semifinal round in 2017-18, then the 2021-22 Bobcats became the first-ever No. 11 seed in MAAC Tournament history to advance to the semifinal round. Quinnipiac announced the hiring of Umar Shannon ('14) as the Bobcats' newest assistant coach on May 29, 2024. The former Bobcat joined QU's coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 season after spending each of the last three years in the MAAC at Saint Peter's University. Shannon played out his final season of collegiate eligibility for the Bobcats in 2013-14, averaging 14.3 PPG, 2.3 APG, and 2.0 RPG. Quinnipiac went 15-5 in MAAC play in 2024-25 under the guidance of Shannon, capturing the program’s second consecutive MAAC Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats went 20-13 in total and 12-2 at home. Shannon helped guide the Peacocks to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances during the past three seasons in the MAAC. Saint Peter's won the 2022 MAAC Men's Basketball Championship in Atlantic City under the guidance of Shannon, then defeated Kentucky, Murray State and Purdue en route to becoming the first No. 15 seed in NCAA Tournament history to advance to the Elite Eight. Two years later the Peacocks captured the conference title once again, as Saint Peter's secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament by winning the 2024 MAAC title.
