Farrah Chernov

Biography

Chernov joins the Quinnipiac Athletics Department for her first year as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. She currently serves as the sports information contact for women's ice hockey, field hockey, softball and men's/women's tennis. During her time as a student at Quinnipiac, Chernov was a four-year member of the Acrobatics & Tumbling team. In 2023, she earned back-to-back national titles in the aerial and quad tumbling passes. She also served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) from August 2023 to May 2024, where she launched a fundraising initiative with Play4Kay that raised over $2,500 in support of those battling breast cancer. Chernov previously worked as a student worker in the Athletic Communications Office from August 2023 to May 2025 and in the Recreation and Wellness Center from February 2021 to April 2024. Chernov has volunteered at numerous sporting events, including the 2024 Frozen Apple game at Madison Square Garden where she called live stats. She also photographed at the 2025 ECAC Men's Hockey Championship Weekend in Lake Placid, NY, 2025 NCAA Men's Hockey Regional in Allentown, PA, and the Navy vs Notre Dame football game at MetLife Stadium. She completed internships with several baseball organizations, including D1Baseball, the 2024 Cape Cod Baseball League champion Harwich Mariners, and the New Britain Bees of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League as a photographer and social media manager.
