Dave Sheridan

Biography

David Sheridan joins the RIT coaching staff as the Goalkeeper Coach, bringing a distinguished playing career and extensive coaching experience at various levels, including NCAA Division I and III. Sheridan's most recent role as Head Coach and Director of Goalkeeping at Steel United (TX) highlights his specialized expertise in developing goalkeepers. His coaching journey also includes Head Coach and Game Day Administrator positions at Alverno College (WI), Austin College (TX), and Notre Dame of Maryland (MD), as well as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach role at Manchester University (IN) and American University (Washington, DC). He has also led several club soccer teams, including Fort Wayne Sports Club, DC Ramblers F.C., S.A.R. Football Club, and Hammers Football Club. Academically, Sheridan holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design (Magna cum Laude) from Mount Ida College (MA) and a Master of Arts in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine (CA). His impressive coaching education includes a Football Association of Wales C Certificate (2024), United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma (2021), Advanced National Diploma (2017), and National Diploma (2013). Crucially for his role, he also possesses a United Soccer Coaches Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeper Diploma (2014) and a United States Soccer Federation National D License (2009).
