Chris Doctor

Biography

A noted coach within the Div. I ranks, Chris Doctor was hired as an assistant coach at Sacred Heart, specifically tasked with duties as an offensive coordinator, prior to the start of the 2020 season. Doctor comes to Fairfield after serving as the Market Director of the Tri-State area for 3d Lacrosse, LLC from 2017-19. At 3d Lacrosse, Doctor developed lacrosse programming for small and large groups of boys and girls, of all ages while organizing high school and youth indoor lacrosse leagues, overseeing a staff of managers and coaches, guiding players in the college recruitment process and providing on-field instruction. He also spent the last two years at the high school level in Connecticut, first serving as the boys varsity lacrosse coach for Greens Farms Academy in 2018 before moving to an associate head coach postiiton for Wilton in 2019. A longtime Division I coach, Doctor spent seven seasons as an assistant coach/offensive assistant at Penn State University (2010-17). While with the Nittany Lions, Doctor led the face-off unit and goaltending corps, as well as running the extra-man offense. He helped lead Penn State to Colonial Athletic Association tournament appearances in 2011, 2012 and 2013 prior to the Big Ten's formation wherein he helped lead the Nittany Lions to conference tournament showings in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
