Biography

San Diego native Stacie Terry-Hutson (13th season) has led the Aztecs to 70 wins over the last three seasons which is tied for the most over a three-year period in program history. In 2025, Terry-Hutson’s Aztecs won the Mountain West Tournament championship and qualified for the NCAA tournament, both firsts for the program since 2012. SDSU’s 25 wins in 2024-25 tied for the third most in program history, and 15 of those wins came away from home, which set a school record. The last two seasons, SDSU has had their two highest scoring teams under Terry-Hutson. The 2024-25 team averaged the most points by an Aztec team since 1994-95. In 2023-24, The Aztecs won 22 games and advanced to the Mountain West Championship game. SDSU had their second highest points per game in the Mountain West era (25 years). Armed with an experience squad in 2022-23, the Aztecs won 23 games and made the WNIT, their most wins and first postseason appearance since the 2012-13 season. SDSU led the Mountain West in points allowed (57.3) and had their best assist-to-turnover ratio (1.06) since the 1983-84 season.
