Grant Leep

Biography

Grant Leep was named the top assistant coach on the Seattle University men’s basketball staff in May 2023 and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in July 2025. Leep came to the Redhawk program following seven seasons as the head coach at Seattle Pacific University. "Grant's dedication, basketball mind and commitment to our student athletes' success on and off the court make him an invaluable part of our program," said head coach Chris Victor. "His promotion to Associate Head Coach was a well-deserved recognition of the impact he's made and the leadership he brings every day." Leep's responsibilities have included leading the Redhawks' offense, overseeing academic support efforts, managing scheduling and serving as a key leader in recruiting. His impact and leadership in these key areas have been instrumental in the program's continued growth and success, including 37 wins and the 2024 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) championship during his two seasons with the program. Leep's ties to the Pacific Northwest are unmatched, spanning a playing career at Mount Vernon High School and University of Washington, to coaching stints at North Seattle Community College, Spokane Community College, Eastern Washington and SPU. Leep compiled a114-69 (.623) record over seven seasons as the head coach at Seattle Pacific. He led the Falcons to a 17-11 mark in 2022-23, featuring an 11-1 record and a seven-game winning streak.
