Andreas Lindberg, one of the most successful men’s soccer head coaches in the country with a career winning percentage of .695 across 21 seasons, enters his eighth season as Seton Hall men's soccer head coach in 2023. Lindberg was named the new Pirates' head coach on Dec. 11, 2017, coming to The Hall after nine years as the head coach of Div. II soccer powerhouse LIU-Post. While there, he accumulated seven NCAA Tournament appearances. Lindberg and the Pirates opened the season on fire, going a registering 6-0-0 record to start the season and peaking at No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Under his tutelage, The Hall's voracious defense finished the season ranked 30th (1.000) in the NCAA in team GAA, 18th in shutout percentage (.444) and earned defender Agustin Resch All-BIG EAST Second Team honors. The team wrapped the season with an 11-6-1 record overall, as well as a BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinals birth. In 2023, the Pirates began 3-0 under Lindberg's guidance, scoring a 1-0 victory over BIG TEN competition in the form of Ohio State. After collecting a pair of multi-goal wins over Princeton and UConn, Seton Hall went on to secure a BIG EAST Tournament bid after a 8-6-3 regular season, but would bow out at in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals. James Boote was named to the All-BIG EAST Third team as a result of his performances that season.
