Reiko Allred joined the Seahawks coaching staff for the 2020 season as an assistant coach. In 2021, Allred led the SMCM volleyball program as the interim head coach while Kelly Gordon was away on maternity leave. She guided the Hurricanes to a third round appearance in the Maryland Class 3A State Championships with a 15-3 record. The West Jordan, Utah, native also claimed two Utah Class 6A state championships as an assistant coach with Brighton and Cottonwood High Schools. After graduating from Utah's Taylorsville HS, Allred spent a year at Salt Lake Community College (Utah) before transferring to Montana State University Billings where she was a setter and defensive specialist for the Yellowjackets.
