Kevin Krogol

Biography

Kevin Krogol joined the Mustang athletic staff in the fall 2013 as head coach of the men's ice hockey program after serving in an interim capacity for the 2012-13 season. Throughout 10 years at the helm of the program, Krogol has compiled an overall record of 60-165-22, and remains as a competitor within the SUNYAC Conference. Krogol most recently guided the Mustangs to a 9-16-0 overall record in 2019-20. Remaining as one of the top academic teams in the athletics department, his squad had 13 collect SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Team accolades. His team was one of 14 athletic varsity squads at Morrisville State to post a combined GPA of over a 3.0. In his time on the bench, four have earned All-Conference accolades for the Mustangs, in one of the toughest leagues across Division III hockey. Prior to earning the head coaching roll in 2013, Krogol spent four seasons as assistant with the Mustang program, working specifically with the forwards and penalty kill, in addition to off-ice duties of recruiting throughout the Northeast and Canadian Territories, to go along with scouting, video analysis, academic coordination and strength training and development. Aside from coaching, Krogol also spearheaded several charity events and community service initiatives with the program, including awareness and fundraising campaigns for Autism Awareness and Special Olympics.
