Tommy Mylnikov

Biography

Tommy Mylnikov is in his second season as assistant coach with Texas A&M women’s tennis as the Aggies embark on the 2025-26 campaign. Texas A&M experienced great success in Mylnikov’s first year on staff, posting a 30-4 record and finishing as national runner-up after the Maroon & White’s second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship title match. The Aggies won their fourth consecutive SEC regular-season crown and finished runner-up at the conference tournament. Under Mylnikov’s tutelage, the Aggies produced two All-Americans including Mary Stoiana (No. 2) and Nicole Khirin (No. 11). Khirin, Stoiana, Mia Kupres and Lucciana Perez also landed All-SEC spots. Mylnikov began his tennis journey in Canada before moving to Florida at a young age to train at IMG Academy, where he played for 10 years. He was a top ranked junior, ranking as high as No. 4 by TennisRecruiting.net. Mylnikov played at Texas Tech for four years (2015-2019) on line one, where he led the Red Raiders to their first ever Big 12 championship. After Tech, Mylnikov went on to play professionally. His biggest victories came against Frances Tiafoe, Alexander Zverev, Borna Coric and Cam Norrie. The Manitoba, Canada native has also trained under many notable coaches throughout his career. As a junior and pro he was coached by Nick Bollettieri, Brad Gilbert, Glen Weiner, Pat Harrison and Dante Bottini and at Texas Tech he was coached by James Wilson, Brett Masi and Daniel Whitehead.
