Billy Kennerly

Biography

Billy Kennerly is in his first collegiate coaching position after joining UTC as head golf coach in January 2026. A Clemson University graduate (Class of 2015) with a degree in Business Management, Kennerly was a four-year letter winner for the Tigers, posting a 72.74 career stroke average. During his Clemson career, he played in three NCAA Regionals and one NCAA Finals, recording two top-10 finishes in regionals along with 11 career top-10 finishes and 20 rounds in the 60s. He set a school record with five consecutive rounds in the 60s to close out the 2012-13 season as a sophomore, with those rounds coming in the ACC Tournament and NCAA Regionals. Since leaving Clemson, Kennerly has competed as a Korn Ferry Tour member from 2017 to present, logging 134 tour events with two runner-up finishes and two third-place finishes. He has earned two PGA Tour starts, competing in the 2011 Wyndham Championship and 2016 RBC Canadian Open. In 2015, he captured the Canadian Amateur Championship. Kennerly, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, led the Mocs to the SoCon Championship and NCAA Regional appearance in his inaugural season.
