Kerim Hyatt

Biography

Kerim Hyatt was hired as Assistant Coach in August 2023. As a player, he was a four-star prospect from Hanahan High School in Hanahan, S.C., ranked No. 6 in South Carolina, No. 33 in the Southeast and No. 109 in the nation according to TennisRecruiting.net. He led Hanahan to state titles as a sophomore and junior, and was named the 2016 Lowcountry Tennis Player of the Year. At UTC, Hyatt compiled an 84-76 singles record and 79-64 doubles record over five seasons (2018-23). As a freshman in 2018-19, he was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year and earned All-SoCon first team honors in doubles. He was a two-time All-Southern Conference selection and made the Dean's List and A.D. Honor Roll multiple times during his playing career. In his senior season (2022-23), he finished with a 17-19 singles record and 22-10 doubles record, earning All-Southern Conference First Team Singles honors.
