Biography

Dale Williams, who brings more than 25 years of experience, has returned to the University of Louisville as the offensive line coach in February 2026. Williams rejoins the Cardinals after spending the past two seasons (2024–25) as offensive line coach at Syracuse. In his first season with the Orange, Williams mentored a line that powered the nation’s top passing offense. The offensive line protected quarterback Kyle McCord as he set a new ACC single season passing record, led the country in passing yards and finished among the top 10 in Heisman Trophy voting. Williams’ group also paved the way for running back LeQuint Allen Jr. to surpass 1,000 rushing yards. Offensive linemen Savion Washington and Jakob Bradford earned All-ACC honors for their performances in 2024. Williams originally joined Syracuse after a season with the Cardinals as the program’s quality control coach, helping UofL to its first-ever ACC Championship Game appearance and a 10-win campaign in the first season under Brohm. Prior to Louisville, Williams spent six seasons as offensive line coach at Purdue. He helped lead the Boilermakers to the 2022 Big Ten West title and bowl victories over University of Tennessee in the 2021 Music City Bowl and University of Arizona in the 2017 Foster Farms Bowl. During his tenure with the Boilermakers, Purdue produced some of the top offensive seasons in school history.
