Jing Hughley

Biography

Jing Hughley has been the director of operations for Louisville women’s soccer since 2009. Prior to her director of operations stint, she served in a program support role for all Louisville varsity sports since 2005. Hughley was a four-year letter winner for the Louisville volleyball team. As the Cardinals’ starting setter, she was the 2000 Conference USA Tournament MVP and was all-conference first team in 2001. The Cardinals made the NCAA Tournament all four years she was there. She led the Cardinals to the 1998 NCAA Sweet Sixteen after winning the Conference USA Tournament. In 1999, she led the Cardinals to the regular season conference crown and an NCAA appearance. In 2000, the Cardinals were C-USA Tournament Champions again and competed in the NCAA Tournament. In 2001, UofL was the C-USA runner-up and advanced to the second round of the NCAA. Hughley finished her career as the fourth all-time assist leader with 4,290 and set a single season assist record in 2000 and 2001. After graduating from UofL with a degree in business, Hughley headed to Twin Falls, Idaho, where she coached at the College of Southern Idaho, a volleyball power at the junior college level. In 2001, she helped the squad to a 45-3 record, going 16-0 in conference game and were undefeated at home (17-0) and finished fifth in the nation.
